Bring it on, Nkedianye tells Lenku

“I have many followers,” former governor tells incumbent

Former Kajiado governor Dr David Nkedianye has dismissed rumours that he is afraid of meeting the incumbent at the nominations of the Azimio la Umoja coalition.

“I have heard rumours that (Kajiado Governor Joseph) Lenku has been going around saying that I am afraid of the nominations. I want Lenku to know that I have my followers and I am not worried about nominations. Bring it on!” roared Dr Nkedianye to applause by his supporters.

The former governor is in the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM), while Lenku is a member of the Jubilee Party. The two parties have come together in a coalition fronted by ODM leader Raila Odinga and President Uhuru Kenyatta. They will be expected to come together and support the same candidates for various positions countrywide.

The former governor assured his supporters that he was firmly in the race and would face Lenku at the nominations.
