Lenku orders fumigation of markets

The order follows consultative meetings the governor has held with various trade stakeholders

Governor Joseph ole Lenku has ordered that all markets in the county be fumigated against the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The exercise which will be spearheaded by the County Health Department, will commence tomorrow, March 25, at Ngong retail market, Bulbul market and Ngong bus park.

Then on Thursday, the department will be conducting the exercise at Ongata Rongai’s Kware market and Kiserian market before landing in Kitengela’s Retail market on Friday.

On the same day, they will also be in Isinya and Kajiado retail Market.

The order follows many consultative meetings the governor has held this past week with various trade stakeholders in the county, as he endeavors to enhance the health safety of all residents.
