A county firefighter driver has lost his life in a tragic road accident that occured last evening in Maili Tisa, Kajiado Central Sub-county, after the car they were traveling in lost control and rolled several times.

Area Police Commander Daudi Loronyokwe, confirming the incident, said that the two were heading to Namanga town for a disinfection exercise.

“From our preliminary investigations it is likely that the right rear tyre burst leading to the car losing control causing it to roll several times hence the death of the driver,” said Loronyokwe.

His colleague in the ill-fated car sustained hands and limbs injuries, and was rushed to the Kajiado County Referral Hospital where he is receiving treatment.

Following the incident, the police boss cautioned motorists to observe traffic regulations to avert road accidents.
