Parents and guardians of children with disability in Isinya in Kajiado East, have called upon the government to come to their aid.

“I have been living with my five-year-old child with cerebral palsy and who cannot talk or walk. I have tried to get help and was told to get a card, which I did and thereafter I have been taken round in circles,” said Francisca, a resident of Isinya.

Residents also complained of lack of food for the disabled children and called for assistance. “I cannot go to work and leave this child alone at home. I am asking the county government for support,” said a young mother.

The women have asked for assistance to set up income-generating activities to meet their needs.
