Mystery surrounds the shooting of Ngong OCS on Tuesday night, with conflicting narratives as to what really transpired.

The OCS, Philip Olenkindi, was rushed to the Nairobi West Hospital, with a gunshot wounds, on Tuesday night, where he is still recuperating.

It appears that news of the shooting was kept under wraps, probably owing to the circumstances surrounding it, until Wednesday.

The ‘official’ police version states that the OCS and other officers were on night patrol when they encountered thugs who shot at them.

However, our sources, who chose to remain unnamed due to the sensitivity of the matter, told Kajiado Star that the OCS was allegedly enjoying drinks at the Traffic Training School canteen in Ngong, when an altercation occurred between him and an officer said to be a guard at Parliament Buildings.

“It is this altercation that led to the shooting of the OCS, on the shoulder,” said our source.

The shooting and subsequent cover up is said to have angered senior officers in Kajiado North Sub-County, including the OCPD, who was away attending to a family matter.”

The bosses are not happy with the situation,” said the source. “Heads must roll once the OCS is discharged from hospital. What if he had died, would there still have been a cover up?”

Kajiado Star will keep you updated on this matter.
