Speaker Ngussur showers praises on his predecessor Osoi

Enteke says Osoi is a man that he will struggle to fit into his shoes

Newly-elected Speaker of the County Assembly Justus Ngussur, popularly known as Enteke, has lavished praise on his predecessor, Johnson Osoi, as a man of vision, acumen, and a brilliant son of Kajiado County.

In his acceptance speech, Ngussur said, I wish “to profoundly thank the immediate former Speaker of this Honorable Assembly, the Honorable Johnson Osoi — a man of vision, acumen, resilience and a brilliant son of this great county.”

Osoi, he read, has steered the business of this House for two consecutive terms — since the advent of devolution. He has led the assembly through two different governments; both with its own peculiarities and different challenges.

Osoi’s “great leadership skills” were recognized nationally, and was elected, for two terms in a row, to represent the 47 County Assemblies, as the Chairman of Assemblies Forum (CAF).

“He is a man that I will struggle to fit into his shoes. May God bless him and prolong his life. May you find favor to continue serving the people of this great country in other capacities.”

Mr Ngussur has served as the MCA for Ewuaso-Kidong for two consecutive terms; since 2013.
